Yumeiho Therapy Founder – OTSUKI MASAYUKI best known under the pseudonym SAIONJI MASAYUKI was born on 18th Nov. 1943 in Tokyo – Japan.
In his early life, although passionate about the oriental traditional medicine, he followed “MEIJI” university courses in Tokyo, Department of Commerce, upon the insistence of his father.
In his student years he was mostly attracted by the Chinese language and calligraphy study than the trade’s principles and rules.
Consequently, in time he will give up university courses to improve in Chinese calligraphy.
For three years he has been a Chinese calligraphy instructor.
He often visits China to improve his technique. There he comes in touch with Chinese traditional medicine through the ancient books that he studied from calligraphy point of view.
Theoretical principles, philosophy and especially therapeutic manual procedures presented in these works fascinate him, and therefore decides to assimilate them.
In 1975 he meets Shuichi Ono Hidekazu, a well known master of Seitai Ho – [Manual healing method aiming the human physiology balance starting from postural adjustment by applying some procedures of myo-articular functional balancing, pointingtherapy, massage and joint manipulation].
Master Shuichi Ono Hidekazu founded his therapeutic procedures based on a long study of Zheng Ti Fa rehabilitation techniques applied in the Buddhist monasteries in China (among others the famous Shao Lin monastery).
For 6 years he studies various manual Oriental healing traditional methods, especially the Chinese and Japanese ones (Tui-na, Zheng Ti Fa, An-Ma, Shiatsu, Do In, Seitai-ho etc.).
In 1980 he opens a private cabinet in Tokyo.
In the same year he begins to study Esperanto which will be of great use later to promote his own therapeutical method.
In 1981 he finalizes the studies he began within the National Japanese School of Shiatsu and Traditional Oriental Therapies (NIHON – SHIATSU SENMON GAKKO);
Also in 1981 he sets up an innovative therapeutic system, initially called “Divine Massage” and then ” Coxal bones adjustment and Presopunctura Therapy” or “Yumeiho Therapy”.
In 1982 he founds, together with a close group, the organization called “The League for Generalization to the Whole Humanity of Correcting Coxal Therapy, through Massage and Pointingtherapy” and then, in the same year, he builds the “AKAHIGE” foundation, whose president he is up to 2005, the purpose of this foundation being to spread Yumeiho therapy all over the world.
In 1983 he is licensed as a Master of Shiatsu massage and pointingtherapy; the license being defended within the Examination Foundation for Oriental Therapy Techniques and Researches, the only institution which was accredited by the Health Ministry of Japan to provide such titles, thus being officially accredited as Japanese manual therapy master.
In 1987 he founds “International Institute of Practical Preventive Medicine in Tokyo” whose director is up to the death year, 2005.
Beginning with 1989 he is invited to various countries around the world to present his therapy, these visits being organized mainly by groups and organizations of Esperanto speakers.
In 1990 he is invited to teach Yumeiho therapy in the Central Military Aviation Hospital in Moscow – Russia.
Thus begins a collaboration that will last over 10 years.
In time, in collaboration with this institution, numerous scientific studies and researches on the Yumeiho therapy prophylactic and curative effectiveness were made.
In 1992 he is invited as “high-qualification teacher” at the Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology University in Jiaozuo city, Hunan Province – China.
In 1994, Traditional Medicine Research Institute at the Russian Health Ministry awards him the honorary title of Doctor of Traditional Medicine.
In 1995, in Moscow, he successfully presents Yumeiho therapy before the Scientific Council of the International Sciences Academy for the contest aiming the PhD in Medical Sciences.
In the same year, 1995, International Sciences Academy in San Marino gives him the title of Doctor of Traditional Medical Sciences.
Between 1990 and 1995 he frequently visits Moscow, respectively then Scientific Research Center of the Central Military Hospital near the Air Force where he instructs over 130 military doctors in applying Yumeiho therapy.
The beneficiaries of the therapy application were especially pilots and spacemen, the Yumeiho therapy application being recommended and applied both to prevent professional diseases occurrence (specific to them) as well as to their treating in the early stages.
Between 1989 and 2004 he travels to over 40 countries, aiming to popularize Yumeiho therapy and to train its practitioners outside Japan’s borders.
By 2004 Yumeiho therapy was widespread in 73 countries, in many of them being created practice and training centers and professional organizations.
In 1993 he first visits Romania (Timisoara), on the occasion of the “Miracle of the Twentieth Century” book launching. The Esperanto-Romanian translation of the book was made by Mrs. Prof. Rodica Popa and Mrs. Dr. Florica Popa.
On 28th February 2005, Dr. SAIONJI MASAYUKI, Yumeiho Therapy founder and director of the International Institute of Practice Preventive Medicine in Tokyo, passes away to the eternal due to an unfortunate accident.
Publishing Activity:
In 1987, in Japan, he publishes his first book (named “Yumeiho – Quick treatment of various suffering”) in which Dr. Saionji Masayuki presents his own theoretical concept on the human pathology causes and its therapeutic method, evolved from it.
Between 1987 – 1991 he writes and publishes, both in China and in Japan, 7 works about his own manual “Yumeiho” therapy.
The books “Quick Healing through Yumeiho therapy “and” How to prevent sudden death ” get best-sellers.
Between 1987 and 2004 he publishes many articles and interviews in newspapers and magazines such as: “THE JAPAN TIME” – 1989, ” PASSPORT TO THE NEW WORLD ” – 1994, “LA REVUO ORIENTA ” -1996, and others.
In 1989 he translates and publishes the first Esperanto edition of the book entitled “Yumeiho”.
Between 1991 and 2004 the book “Yumeiho therapy” is translated into 26 languages and printed in over 20 countries.
